I Fell In Love With A Married Woman

It was a very bright and warm Saturday morning when I decided to go for a jog. It was a Saturday after a very long, hard and busy week of work and weird people all around me. I wanted to go work out at the gym but since my wife had the car and the workout facility was quite a distance from my home I settled for a walk that turned into a brisk jog. I believe the beautiful morning had such an energetic affect on me I decided to turn the jog into a full blown run. As I was running I had a faint memorable recall of the days in high school when I was an active participant on the school’s track team. I was very good back in those days filled with excitement, awards, and pretty girls waiting to spend time with me after the track meets were over. Of those times in spending with various girls I had an opportunity to choose among them the one or ones that I could and would date on regular bases. Even though I was young and energetic toward the girls I was also a very intelligent and responsible young man in those awesome relationships. The memories of those days became a source of joy in my older days. I’ve been married now for more than 25 years with several kids in college and one on the way to graduating from high school. It has been a most interesting 25 years and yet years overwhelmed by ruff times in my relationship to my wife. So much so that we’ve spent the last 6 months facing times where we thought divorce was just around the corner. I’d gone for a lot of jogs as a therapeutic way of dealing with a marriage that seemingly had gone sour. Although I married for better or worse and had always honored the ‘convenient’ vows I had begun to believe that things had gotten so bad that the end of the relationship was very near. The jogs, though therapeutic for me physically, had no positive effect on my mental anguish resulting from the marriage issues. So in the process of trying to run to the point of exhaustion a car pulled up beside me noticing the fact that I may need a ride and offered me a lift. As I got into the car I began to notice the interesting resemblance the lady driver had with my wife. That ride created the bases for conversation. The conversation created curiosity for more possible conversation over coffee. Before I knew it I had begun dating this lady. The dating fell into an affair which turned into moments of passionate love. Before I knew it I had fallen in love with a married woman. That woman was my wife. She felt so bad that day that I had to walk and wasn’t able to take the car because she had an appointment to drive to so she followed me from a distance without my knowledge. She had a lot of thinking to do about us and that thinking cause an attitude change. When she picked me up that day we began to look at each other differently. We’re now looking forward to another 25 years.
